"Junior Anglers Only" Inshore Tournament

FLFA TEAMS EARN 5-BONUS POINT FOR PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT!

Junior angler registration is on Friday, 7/20/12 @ Sebastian Inlet Marina – 5:30 to 7pm.
Tournament day is on Saturday, 7/21/12, 6:00am start. - Weigh-in is at Sebastian Inlet Marina from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Tournament Rules
These are the rules that all anglers are expected to follow for the FLFA's “Junior Anglers Only” Inshore Tournament.
Tournament officials reserve the right to make any changes, deletions or additions as necessary.

The Info:
Junior Anglers can fish for ANY species found in the Indian River! Please remember the Florida State Regulations
on all species being brought to the scales...

Write down what they caught and bring in the list! It's that simple! Pictures are welcome!

Trout are “catch, quality photo on measuring board & release” only…

Any oversized fish will only be eligible for the biggest fish trophy if a quality photo has been taken of the fish
to where we can see the total length of the fish…

PLEASE DO NOT overload us with fish to weigh-in. This is not a weigh based tournament.

The “biggest legal fish”trophy is based on length. Keep track of what they catch and how many… The scale will be there, so you can bring in a fish or two if you really want them to feel the excitement of weighing in their catch…

Junior anglers that register must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Tournament “Places & Payouts”:
Since this is a FREE tournament, we will make sure that every junior angler receives something…

“Biggest Legal Fish”, “Smallest Legal Fish”, “Most fish Caught”, “Ugliest Fish” are among the trophies to be given
out along with many other trophies, prizes and gift cards.

Boundaries:
North line – C.R. 520 Causeway.
South line – Southernmost point of land on Sewalls Point. No fishing in the St. Lucie River.
East line – Sebastian Inlet- A1A bridge and eastern end of no wake zone in Ft. Pierce Inlet.

Methods of fishing: Boat, pier, dock, kayak & wade fishing.

Only fish caught by a junior angler will be accepted today!

Bait: Live and artificial baits are authorized.

Saturday Check-in: Sebastian Inlet Marina from 11:00am until 1:00pm.

No lines in the water until 6:00am. Saturday, 11:00am to 1:00pm

Ties: are decided by weigh-in time. “First one in wins the tie”, so use the early weigh-in time to your advantage.

Protests:
None will be accepted… This is a free Jr. Angler tournament. All rulings are final by the FLFA Board.

1) All state and federal rules apply for each fish weighed in.

2) “Sportsmanlike” conduct is expected from ALL. Anything other then that is grounds for disqualification.

3) Tournament officials have the final decision in ALL rulings.

4) This is a sport fishing event, so let’s have a great time with this tournament and have a successful series!

Let’s make sure that the kids are treated as “NUMBER #1” in this tournament!
